Department of Home Affairs ready for Madiba’s funeral

Home Affairs Department said it is ready to do everything in its power to help facilitate the smooth movement of mourners attending late President Nelson Mandela’s funeral in and out of the country from other parts of the world. 

The department has been working with several entities including DIRCO and ACSA to ensure they are updated on information of dignitaries attending the funeral on Sunday. 

Departmental Spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said IT Technicians are also ready in identified airports to assists with any computer related issues.

Mamoepa added that the diplomatic counters have been increased to ensure sufficient and quick service to delegates and assists with Visas same time, to those dignitaries that South African does not have diplomatic presence in their countries.
