As we are approaching The  Day of Goodwill and New Year the National Sea Rescue Institute warns the public to be extra cautious around the coast.

The NSRI'S Craig Lambinon says people can expect high to normal tides and low to normal tides as well as strong tides.

Anglers should be aware that some of the rocks may be engulfed by waves because of the high tide, further added Lambinon.

He further said people should be extremely cautious of the rip current. Lambinon advised the public to go to the beach when life guards are present.

Lastly he advised children should have responsible adult supervision around all water, not only on the coast but also at home near the pool area.
