A man injured after being crushed in between two vehicles

A man was found in a critical condition after he was crushed between two vehicles on Voortrekker road in Bellville this morning.   It is alleged that the man was pushing his vehicle after it broke down, a second vehicle smashed into the back of the broken down vehicle and crushed the man between the two vehicles.   ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the man on the road with multiple fractures and severe head injuries.   He said advanced life support intervention was performed on the man in order to stabilise him. He was later rushed off to Groote Schuur Hospital for further medical management. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the incident.
