A woman died in
an accident in Pinetown involving a taxi and a truck.
It is believed
that the taxi collided into the back of the taxi and also left eight people
injured.
ER24 Spokesperson
Russel Meiring said the deceased female was trapped inside of the taxi as Jaws
of Life had to be used to free her body from the wreckage.
“The other eight
commuters were treated for their injuries which ranged from minor to moderate
they were there after transported to St Marys Hospital for further treatment
Meiring added.
In another
accident this morning a man was left seriously injured after his truck
overturned on the N2 near the Sibaya off ramp on the KZN north coast.

Spokesperson Chris Botha said the accident happened on the N2 southbound near
the Sibaya off ramp. When we arrived there the one passenger from the truck had
sustained serious injuries.
“He was treated
on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care Botha
added.
The exact details
of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police
investigation.
