An accident this morning has left three people injured on the N5 approximately 15km from Bethlehem, direction Paul Roux.

It is alleged that a bakkie collided with a light motor vehicle.

ER24 Spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that two people, the passengers of the light motor vehicle, were entrapped in the car wreckage.

Rossouw added that the driver of the bakkie also sustained injuries. ER24 paramedics used the Jaws of Life equipment to free the entrapped patients who were then transported to Dihlabeng Hospital for further treatment.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
