The Democratic Alliance has called
for an investigation into Eskom’s catering and food subsidies.
This comes after media reports that
Eskom staff have access to dining facilities and canteens that provide meals.
DA MP of Public Enterprises Natasha
Mazzone said “we understand the fact that labor workers need to have good food to
make sure they are able to do their job.
We need to make sure that people sitting
behind the desks and people doing admin work are not receiving the same subsidies,
because Eskom is in an absolutely financial crises and these people are in a
position of where they are able to bring their own food to work.”
