High-ranking officials in the crime prevention sector will meet today to discuss the country’s high crime figures. Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula, together with ministers, deputy ministers and director generals of the justice, crime prevention and security clusters will hold a crime lekgotla in Kilarney.
This is the second meeting, and follows the meeting held in Pretoria in early October, where it was resolved to re-energise the partnership to fight crime.
A briefing will follow the lekgotla, where the outcome of the discussions will be made public.
