Service delivery will be high on the agenda when President Jacob Zuma and 11 Cabinet ministers meet mayors from across the country in Cape Town next week.
The presidency said today that all nine premiers would also attend the meeting, to be held in Khayelitsha on Tuesday.
The more than 283 mayors would be accompanied by their municipal managers.
Meanwhile, police had to act against service delivery protestors in Standerton’s Sakhile township and Diepsloot in Soweto again today.
