Zimbabwe Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has announced that he is disengaging partially from the unity government because of the "persecution" of a top aide.
The media reports Tsvangirai as saying his party would not attend Cabinet meetings or engage in executive work with President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF party.
Tsvangirai said his Movement for Democratic Change party would continue parliament activities.
He said the freeze will continue until the dispute over Roy Bennett is resolved.
Bennett is being tried on charges that he was involved in plans to overthrow President Mugabe.
Tsvangirai and Mugabe entered the unity government in February.
