Western Cape MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato will later today host another policing needs and priorities meeting for the Cape Town central police cluster.

The meeting is for the communities to discuss the policing needs facing specific areas.  The meeting is specifically for the communities of Table Bay Harbour, Woodstock, Maitland, Pinelands, Camps Bay, Kensington and Sea Point.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said this meeting forms part of a bigger needs and priorities campaign, where the provincial department of community safety goes out to all 25 police clusters in complying the provincial policing needs and priorities report.

Botha said the report would be submitted to the national minister of police for him to take in to consideration when making decisions on allocation of police budget for the province.
