Concern over Zumaville

The United Democratic Movement has raised their concern about reports that there is a new R2 billion town to be built in President Jacob Zuma’s village, Inkandla.

This year’s Budget Vote 33 on Rural Development and Reform made no supposed mention of a massive development programme planned for this village.

UDM Bantu Holomisa said the Minister of Finance should explain why the money is being spent on a new town that has not been included in the budget set out for the year.

He added that national resources from other departments should not be diverted to built this new town, now called Zumaville.
