Criminals target university students

The Cape Town police have warned University students of a gang operating around the University of Cape Town Campus.

Police said that several students have been robbed on their way to the campus.

Police Captein Fc van Wyk said that the suspects approach the students under the pretext of asking for direction and they request them to embark into the car.

He also said that the students are robbed off their cell phones and laptops and also ordered to draw their money from an ATM.

He added that the vehicles used have been identified as a small black car and a white Mercedes Benz.
