More protests in Cape Town

Cape Town motorists have been advised to avoid the N-2 highway.

Protestors have gathered at the Mew Way Bridge in Khayelitsha and are stoning cars and lighting fires on the road.

Disaster Risk Management Centre Spokesperson, Wilfred Solomons Johannes said that a group of protesters gathered in various areas early in the morning.

He also said that police have been dispatched and some roads have been closed.

A group of demonstrators had also gathered near Duynefontein Road between Lansdowne and Vanguard Drive in Philippi
