Traffic Authorities arrested motorists over the weekend

The Western Cape Traffic authorities held about 24 roadblocks over the weekend.

Many drivers were arrested for various offenses.

The Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said that about 751 drivers were tested.

Africa said that 9 drivers were arrested for drunken driving.

One pedestrian was arrested in Swellendam.

 Africa added that 1034 drivers were prosecuted for exceeding the speed limit.
