Murder accused of Muslim killing in court

The media and the victim’s family were prevented from seeing the accused in the assault and murder of a Muslim man in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court in Gauteng on Monday.

The 27-year-old suspect was arrested in Rustenburg and his co-accused, aged 33, handed himself to Magaliesburg police on Sunday.

Muhammad Fayaaz Kazi from Ventersdorp died after being attacked at a fast food outlet in Magaliesburg last week.

The accused have to undergo an identity parade and will stay in custody until their next court appearance on Tuesday next week.
