Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public
Works Donald Grant said the province is committed to making level crossing
safer for all commuters.
MEC Grant said as Tuesday was International
Level Crossing Awareness Day together with partners they will continue to
ensure safety and compliance at all level crossings across the province.
The Department has issued 2 242 fines
at White Road
Ministerial Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube
said the department has made a commitment to make level crossings safer in 2009
ten school children were killed.
