Three people were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision last night near Dobsonville.

The collision involved a sedan and a bakkie.

ER24 Spokesperson Pieter Rossouw reported that ER24 paramedics attended the scene and found that the patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

“There was unfortunately nothing paramedics could do for the three deceased patients.” Rossouw said.

The injured patients were transported by emergency medical services to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The exact details to the cause of the collision will remain the subject of a police investigation, Rossouw added.
