A man, believed to be a municipal worker cleaning the street, was hit by a truck at the corners of Voortrekker Road and Koeberg Road in Maitland earlier today.
The sixty one-year-old man was dead on arrival of ER24 paramedics and had sustained severe traumatic injuries.
The police were in attendance and are investigating the incident.
