Some infantry soldiers have not been paid their salaries for the month of December, the SA National Defence Force said over the weekend.

Spokesperson Siphiwe Dlamini said SANDF Chief Solly Shoke was launching an investigation into the non-payment of salaries for some of the members of the 2nd South African Infantry Battalion, and wanted to know whether this action was deliberate or total negligence.

Dlamini said that Chief Shoke was not happy with the non-payment of the staff

“He (Chief Shoke) has asked for a report within the next 36 hours and will take action as soon as he gets the report” Dlamini added.
