The chaos which erupted in Parliament last week Thursday is expected to top the agenda later today, when Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa meets with leaders of political parties.

Eleven political leaders have confirmed their attendance and Ramaphosa is conducting this meeting in his capacity as Leader of Government Business in Parliament.

Deputy President Spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said the meeting convened by Deputy President Ramaphosa is part of on-going efforts to strengthen and consolidate parliamentary democratic processes by promoting a sound and healthy working relationship between parliamentary political parties and members of the national executive.

Mamoepa added that the meeting follows the deputy’s commitment to meet with leaders of all political parties represented in parliament with a view of creating a channel of communication between the executive and leaders of political parties represented in parliament.
