Two suspects aged 25 and 34-years-old from Nigeria and a 25-year-old woman appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate Court on Wednesday for dealing in drugs.

Police followed up on information about a woman who was allegedly smuggling drugs in the area.

Police followed up and found the woman with two sealed packets of snacks and told the police that she was sent to deliver the goods.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said it was an operation that started from the Groblersbrug Bridge in Limpopo, where we intercepted a truck with lots of tablets commonly known as Date Rape Drug.

“The driver cooperated with us where we sent a safe delivery in Johannesburg and the two suspects claimed the loot, and that is where we managed to detain them,” Mulaudzi added.
