Search continues for a missing boy in Hartbeespoort Dam

National Sea Rescue Institute together with police divers are continuing to search for a boy who was about to turn two who is feared to have drowned at Hartbeespoort Dam.

It is believed that the couple and their two young children were on a boat that was towing a tube with two children on it.

The skipper allegedly made a tight turn which caused the boat to capsize.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said they started an extensive search by NSRI Hartbeespoort Dam throughout the afternoon and last night, no sign of the child was found.

Lambinon added that police are on scene are on the scene this morning and are continuing with the search.
