6 killed in Laingsburg minibus crash

A minibus that collided with a car has left 6 people dead near Laingsburg this morning.

Four of the five family members from Phillipi who was in the car died on the scene including a passenger from the minibus.

The car was travelling from Cape Town to the Eastern Cape

It is alleged that the minibus left its lane and faced the on coming traffic.

The driver and a passenger of the minibus as well as a member of the deceased family survived.

The injured were taken to Tygerberg and Worcester Hospital.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened.
