Home Affairs Minister Nkosozana Dlamini Zuma has given the assurance that no Zimbabweans will be deported until her department has processed all the applications for visas and permits.
Dlamini Zuma was speaking after a meeting with the Zimbabwean Stakeholder’s Forum in Pretoria.
The minister stated that the process was being slowed by the fact that the Zimbabwean government was incapable of producing more than 500 passports a day.
However, the end-of-the-month still remains the deadline for accepting visa applications from Zimbabweans living and working in South Africa.
