Lusanda Bill
18 December 2010
The South African National Blood Services is appealing to people to come forward and donate blood.
At the moment the stock of blood for the festive season is running dangerously low.
The blood services say there is more than a 50 percent shortage in stock, which will not be enough for the holiday period.
Some three thousand units of blood are required on a daily basis and they are not getting nearly near that amount in donations.
