Three men were shot in legs at a construction site in Delft.

Three men were shot and seriously injured while they were working at a construction site in Delft.

The victims were shot in their legs and were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed the incident.

He said that Delft police registered attempted murder cases for investigation.

“The circumstances surrounding a shooting incident on Saturday afternoon at about 15:45 in Magalies Street, Leiden, Delft, where three adult males were shot and wounded are under investigation,” he said.

The incident took place following an argument between the construction companies and residents who wanted community members to be the ones employed, when the project started a few months ago.

Eyewitnesses belived that the shooting incident was a warning.
