Youth Empowerment Day held in Gugulethu

The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure will host an Open Day event in Gugulethu on Thursday. The event’s main aim is to bring youth empowerment opportunities for youth members from the area.

The event will highlight areas of opportunities such as the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme, National Youth Service recruitment drive, and Contractor and Apprenticeship programs. The platform will have a consumer education forum for Small Medium and Micro Enterprises.

According to MEC Tertuis Simmers, who will also be attending the event, this is part of the continued efforts to create platforms for empowerment opportunities for the youth.
