The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has urged the public to be cautious at beaches over the festive season.

This is after yet another person drowned at Camps Bay last week.

The National Sea Rescue Institute said people need to be alert at a lot times and swim where there are lifeguards present.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said as it is the festive season people are going to go to beaches but they need to be cautious at all times and swim where there are life guards, more especially the pupils celebrating the end of year exams.
