# Iziko Museum’s Education Division is offering Slavery Walking Trails on request. Starting at the Iziko Slave Lodge Museum in Adderley Street and ending at the Slave Church in Long Street, the tour includes the historical Bo Kaap area with the Iziko Bo Kaap Museum, the Awaal Mosque and the Tana Baru Cemetery. Tours take place from 2pm to 4pm, tickets will cost you R20 and the tours are suitable for ages 16 years and older. For more details call 021 460 8239.
# St. Luke’s Hospice needs volunteers to assist with their annual street collection on Saturday 1 March. Call Debbie Clark on 021 797 5335

# The Eastridge Sector 2 invites all residents including neighbourhood watch members, street committee members and police reservists to a meeting Saturday 2 February at 4pm at Eastville Primary School in Eastridge Primary School in Eastridge to discuss crime in their area. # The funeral service of the late Don Pasquallie – Deputy General Secretary of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) is going to be held Saturday 2 February at the His People Church – N1 City Hall next to McDonalds and N1 City Hospital. The funeral will commence at 8:30 AM.
# Applications to the Logra Community Skills Training Centre are open. If you are 22 years and older and unemployed – you can apply for basic plumbing, electrical and welding courses from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 12:30 PM. The cost is R50 and your ID will be required. Contact them on 021 706 7161.
