Departmental Spokesperson Sidwell Medupe
explains that this initiative will enable the DTI to empower vulnerable omen
who are exposed to abuse and it will target all provinces especially depressed
rural areas.
Madupe adds that the DTI plans to play a
more active role in developing initiatives to ensure abused women are empowered
and are able to participate meaningfully in the economy.
