The National Sea Rescue Institute in George
on Sunday attended to a drowning incident whereby three people drowned at
George Dam.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the
three were reported missing after they reportedly disappeared under water.
Lambinon said during a free dive search the
bodies of all three were recovered from the water a 29-year-old male, a
13-year-old female and a 9-year-old male.
“The bodies were handed over to the
Forensic Pathology Services this is after they were declared deceased by
paramedics on the scene. Police have opened an inquest docket and they are
investigating” Lambinon added.
