The African National Congress in the Western Cape says
the Democratic Alliance has wasted time and money in contesting the new home
affairs immigration regulations.
ANC Provincial Caucus Chairperson Sharon Davids they
wasted time and money and they wasted time of the public that came to do public
hearing to them.
The DA also called on Minister of Home Affairs Malusi
Gigaba to appear before the provincial legislature to explain the
legislation.
“The minister made it clear that the regulation is
going to be implemented, so there is nothing they can do. The process was
started in 2007 why did they not at that time, give inputs to the regulation,”
Davids added.
