Two people died and two injured in Kimberley crash

Two people were killed and two others injured when two vehicles collided on the N8 in Kimberley.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when they arrived on scene, they found two mangled vehicles on the scene. one of the vehicles lay in the middle of the intersection while another stood 15 metres away on the side of the road.

“On assessment, paramedics discovered the lifeless body of a female patient. Unfortunately she had already succumbed to her injuries. The lifeless body of the 7-year-old boy was found just a few metres from one of the vehicles with no vital signs. Paramedics immediately began CPR, unfortunately after 20 minutes, no signs of life returned.” Meiring added.

He also said two patients were found sitting next to their vehicle. Paramedics treated their injuries and thereafter transported the patients to Kimberley Hospital for further treatment.

 Exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation
