A protest against the dumping of babies will take place during lunch time today in Bellville to raise awareness of the problem.
Bellville North ANC says their reason for the protest is to show the public that they care about the 200% increase in abandoned babies.
Over 500 babies have been dumped in the past year in the Western Cape.
Bellville North ANC spokesperson Bart Simmers says, “Fetus’s were found dumped in all sorts of places this year.
Three babies bag were found in a bag in an upmarket residential area. Some were found in the sewage pumpstation.
The picket will take place at the Bellville police office in Voortrekker road at 1pm.
