Driver in Dewani murder sentenced to 18 years (video)

According to a plea agreement by Zola Tongo one of the suspects in the murder of Anni Dewani, her husband Shrien allegedly paid him R15 000 to have his wife killed.
The 31-year-old, Tongo was driving the taxi in which the honeymooning couple were allegedly hijacked on November 12 in Gugulethu.
The Western Cape High Court heared that Tongo met the newly-wed couple at Cape Town International Airport and transported them to their hotel.
Shrien Dewani later asked him when they were alone to arrange a hit.
He was sentenced to 18 years for his role in the murder.
He faced charges with murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and defeating the ends of justice.
