The Western Cape High Court ordered the city to put up enclosed toilets last week in the Makhaza area after they were ragged down by angry residents early this year.
A group of Makhaza residents started protesting today as the news that the city was set to reconstruct toilets in the area.
The court’s ruling was deemed inhuman by a local African National Congress youth who were not present at today’s protest.
ANCYL members were accused of being behind the destruction of the structures earlier this year.
The residents have vowed to not allow the city to erect the structures again.
