African National Congress Youth League leader Julius Malema been quoted saying he will not pay the R50 000 fine imposed on him by the Equality Court in Johannesburg.
Malema told members of the ANCYL in Midrand that he “deliberately” refuse to pay the R50 000 as a matter of principle adding that “they” can attach all his property.
Malema was fined R50 000 by the Equality Court after losing a case brought against him by the Sonke Gender Justice Network.
The court’s ruling included an apology from Malema for saying that President Jacob Zuma's rape accuser had a "nice time" in public.
The fine was due to be paid to a centre for abused women, and Malema has failed to do up to now.
Sonke Gender Justice Group has since stared to attach his assets.
