The City of Cape Town law enforcement officers arrested a 40-year-old mal in Sea Point for being in possession of 138 abalone on Thursday.
“He was arrested at Broken Baths Beach and was being detained at the Sea Point police station,” City of Cape Town spokesperson Neil Arendse said.
The abalone were handed over to the Sea Point police.
He would appear in court soon.
