Willem Pretorius, the man who claimed that a body of woman was his wife after the body was found in a suitcase floating in a river.
He appeared in the Nigel Magistrate's Court today and he will remain in custody.
He was arrested on Monday after he went to a police station and reported Xoliswa Ndlakuse, 58, missing, claiming she was his wife. Her family has denied this.
Police suspect that he is the one who murdered the woman.
His next court appearance is on the 15th of December 2010.
