A 56-year-old Australian-born white male believed to be strangled was found at his home in Plumstead on Wednesday evening.
Members of the Doordrift Road complex alerted the police when they allegedly “noticed something out of the ordinary with a neighbour”.
Police spokesman Keith Chandler said police came across the man’s naked body.
Chandler added that there were no forced entry only a few items were missing.
A post-mortem will determine the cause of his death.
