A 5 year old female minor from Manenberg was reported in distress at the Silwerstroomstrand resort between Mamre and Atlantis today.
The minor was then rescued by members of the public at the tidal pool.
The emergency services then treated the minor for drowning symptoms.
The patient suffered minor hyperthermia and was transported to the Westfleur Hospital in Atlantis.
The minor is in a stable condition and will remain in hospital overnight for further medical treatment and observation.
