A metro cop has been arrested in Pretoria for accepting a bribe from the truck driver that he had stopped and found it to be unroadworthy.
The cop instead of issuing a fine he accepted a bribe .
The Tshwane metro spokesperson, Console Tleane said the constable was caught when his superiors came to watch him stopping vehicles for roadworthy checks .
The superiors had been watching the constable from a car parked near by .The acting metro police chief Steven Ngobeni was present when the truck driver admitted to having paid the cop after his truck was found with faulty lights.
