A man died and six people were injured when two cars collided head-on on the N1 highway near Bloemfontein on Friday.
Jeffrey Wicks of Netcare 911 said one of the cars moved into the oncoming lane and collided with the other car.
The driver of one of the cars was killed on crash.
The driver and passengers of the other car plus two children between the ages 3 and 9-years-old, were rushed to a nearby hospital.
