The Democratic Alliance has criticised the report that the African National Congress elective conference in Maungaung would need about 40 crime inteligence agents.

DA Shadow Minister of Police Dianne Kohler Barnard said the crime inteligence is needed to fight crime not to go to a conference.

Kohler Barnard said she wants to know what possible legitimate reason there can be to take in 40 crime inteligence agents  to Maunagung or indeed any legitimate for straight inteligent personeel at all to spy on political rivals.

Crime inteligence agents should be focusing on crime and crime bosses and drug lords that is their job, their job is not to spy on polititions unless offcourse there will be some major criminial activity.
