Arendse: Illegal eviction at the Bonnytoun Informal Settlement in Wynberg

It has been alleged that on Friday illegal evection took place at the Bonnytoun Informal Settlement in Wynberg. 

Community activist Colin Arendse said the eviction was illegal because there was not court order. 

Arendse said there are two groups of people in the area and they have been living there for more than 6 years. 

Arendse added that the group is protected from eviction in terms of High Court Order.

Arendse further added that the city of Cape Town claims to work for you and the DA claims to care for the poor, while they have a little showing of care.
