19-year-old arrested for dealing in drugs in Woodstock

A 19-year-old was arrested on Tuesday in Woodstock for dealing in drugs. 

Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut said police received information about illegal dealings at Albert Road. 

When police arrived at the address the suspect ran away with a coffee tin in his hand.  A chase ensued and he was caught and arrested.

Truat said in the coffee tin that the suspect had in his possession was 100 packets of tik, 10 mandrax tablets and thirty pieces of rock cocaine and R650 in cash.

“The suspect will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on charges of dealing in drugs on Thursday” Traut added.
