The National Sea Rescue Institute Simonstown volunteers
were activated following reports of a 53-year-old female who reportedly
collapsed unconscious on a hiking trail at Cape Point Nature Reserve.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the woman had been
on a hut to hut hike in the nature reserve with a group of hikers when she
collapsed unconscious and reported to be trapped on a cliff.
“She was assisted by emergency services the female was evacuated out of the hiking trail in stable condition and suffering from dehydration and exhaustion

She is recovering from hospital.” Lambinon added.
