DA welcomes investigation of corruption charges laid against Zuma

The Democratic Alliance has welcomed the investigation into corruption charges laid against President Jacob Zuma.

Today the police ministry announced that the charges against Zuma which were laid at different police stations will now be investigated nationally.

DA Parliamentary Leader Mmusi Maimane said the integrity of our Democracy requires that President Zuma account for this scandal, including criminally.

“The details of the investigation still remains adjudicate but what is absolutely important for us is that President Zuma in fact accounts to the people of this country about where the misspend is and that him as key witness must in fact everything together,” Maimane added.
