ER24 paramedics responded to an accident scene, yesterday whereby four men in their 20s were ejected from their vehicle, on the N14 near the Kromdraai off-ramp in Krugersdorp.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the mangled vehicle lying in the middle of the road in oncoming traffic. One of the occupants lay in the middle of the lane while the remaining three patients were walking around the scene.

“Paramedics assessed the patients, finding that the man lying in the middle of the road had sustained critical injuries to his head and chest. The remaining three patients fortunately escaped serious injury,” Meiring added.

Once all the patients were treated, they were transported to Laratong Hospital for further treatment

Exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
