Six killed in head-on collision at Umkomaas

Six people have been killed and two others injured after a truck and light motor vehicle collided head-on on the N2 highway in Umkomaas, KwaZulu Natal, late last night.

“ER24 paramedics, along with other services arrived on the scene and found both the truck and light motor vehicle lying in the slow lane of the highway,” said Russel Meiring.

Meiring added that “On assessment paramedics found that all six male occupants from the light motor vehicle had sustained fatal injuries in the collision and lay trapped inside their vehicle”.
                             

“The two occupants from the truck were found to have sustained only minor injuries in the collision. They were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported by provincial services nearby hospital for further treatment”, said Meiring.
